BBC Connecting Communities Report by Chris Cunningham
This was an exciting and innovative conference “full of ideas” hosted by the BBC College of Journalism.
There were some great speakers and many inspirational ideas were talked about and debated.
Our remit was to attend the conference and take random interviews with some of the attendees.
The camera was a basic flip portable HD camera but it is easy to see the shortcomings of using such a device.
Media was uploaded to our servers and ready for edit-review almost immediately.
Post processing some attempts at motion stabilisation with Adobe Premiere/After Effects were attempted but highlighted the shortcomings of such cameras.
For this film though we shot it on a Sony prosumer camera hence the much better quality.
Just goes to show you can have the best ideas in the world but you need a good camera and someone framing up shots nicely to carry this off.
